Synergia Academy employees participated in the VI Career Fair held at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, where they met with young architects and engineers. The students were provided with detailed information about our training programmes and professional development opportunities.
Head of the Department of Textile Technology at one of the most prestigious universities in Germany - RWTH Aachen University, Professor Thomas Gries, along with Esra Yuksel Yilmaz, regional representative of the ITA Academy at a university in Turkey, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
The meeting was attended by Rena Afendiyeva, Executive Director of Synergia Academy, and Aiten Jabrayilova, Senior Learning Advisor. The guests held discussions with the Rector of AzTU, Professor Vilayat Veliyev, and the university’s leadership.
During the meeting, Professor Vilayat Veliyev highlighted the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between AzTU and German universities. In his presentation, Professor Thomas Gries provided detailed information about RWTH Aachen’s activities and expertise in textile and materials science technologies, as well as in the automation of industrial processes. He particularly emphasized the growing demand in modern industry for innovative materials and automated systems.
The discussions focused on the exchange of faculty and students, the implementation of joint research projects in areas such as mechatronics, materials science, and green energy technologies, as well as prospects for launching dual degree programs at the master’s level.

A strategic cooperation memorandum was signed between Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) and one of Germany’s most prestigious technical universities - RWTH Aachen University to strengthen their partnership.
The signing ceremony was led by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov. The event was attended by Professor Thomas Gries, Director of the ITA Institute at RWTH Aachen University; Esra Yuksel Yilmaz, Regional Representative of ITA Academy GmbH for Turkey; Rana Afandiyeva, Head of Synergia Academy; Aytan Jabrailova, Chief Training Advisor; and other university representatives.
During the meeting, UNEC Rector Professor Adalat Muradov spoke in detail about the university’s scientific potential, digital governance model, international relations, dual degree and student exchange programs, as well as UNEC’s position in global rankings.
Professor Thomas Gries praised UNEC’s modern educational approaches and emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership between the two universities. Following the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed.
Under the framework of the memorandum, planned activities include student and faculty exchanges, joint scientific conferences, collaborative research projects, implementation of international certification programs, exchange of experience in lifelong learning and innovative teaching methods, as well as cooperation in environmental management.

Joint events organised by Synergia Academy and Tabia Group were held at Ganja State University, Ganja State Vocational Training Centre for Trade and Service, Azerbaijan Technological University and Yavlakh Vocational School.
Within the framework of these meetings, the participants were provided with detailed information about the project objectives, opportunities for participants and the selection process.
The project is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old with specialised secondary or higher education. The training programme, which lasts for 3-6 months, includes several stages, and the participants' level of knowledge is assessed through examinations. Those who successfully complete the programme will be offered employment opportunities at Tabia Group hotels.
Speakers at the event emphasised that the project, combining theoretical and practical knowledge, contributes to the career development of young people. A representative of Tabia Group spoke about the existing employment opportunities in the hospitality industry and the support provided to the professional development of personnel.
An "Information Day" event for the “From Education to Career” program was held through the joint collaboration of “Synergia Academy” and “FMG” company.
The program aims to support the professional development of Azerbaijani youth aged 18 to 30 with higher education and to provide employment opportunities within various business and commercial facilities under the management of “FMG”.
The event opened with a speech by the Rector of the Azerbaijan Technical University, Professor Vilayat Valiyev. The Rector emphasized the relevance of such projects and spoke about the importance of aligning university programs with industry demands and deepening cooperation between academia and industry to support students’ career growth.
Following that, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Professor Akif Gasimov, stated that one of the primary goals of higher education institutions is to train competitive professionals who meet the labor market’s demands. He underlined the importance of mastering essential skills for each specialty and constantly developing close ties with industrial enterprises.
Rana Afandiyeva, Executive Director of “Synergia Academy,” spoke about the company’s focus areas and the opportunities this program offers young people. She highlighted that the “From Education to Career” program would enhance young professionals’ training levels and support their development in a real work environment.
Ilham Allahverdiyev, CEO of “FMG”, noted in his speech that the project aligns with the company's strategic goals. Expressing gratitude for the partnership, he emphasized that the program would create career opportunities for young people and contribute to Azerbaijan's economic development.
The “From Education to Career” program, jointly initiated by “Synergia Academy” and “FMG,” aims to prepare local youth in line with modern professional standards and strengthen their long-term career prospects.
Participants of the event expressed confidence that this project will create a new wave of young professionals in the labor market.
Following successful research and 7 months of work by Synergia Academy, representatives of De Montfort University were invited to Azerbaijan and a meeting was held at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) in the presence of its Rector Adalat Muradov and his team with representatives of De Montfort University (UK) - the Associate Director for Transnational Education, Neil Hart and the Partnerships Development Manager/Global Unit - Duncan Hepworth.
After an introduction to the University, productive discussions took place about future cooperation and the opening of new faculties within the University.
The "From Training to Career 2" program has been announced as part of the collaboration between “Synergia Academy” and “Tabia Group”. The primary goal of the program is to enable young people living in or connected to regional areas to return to their regions and continue their professional activities there.
The program is open to Azerbaijani citizens aged 18-30 with secondary or higher education qualifications. The training will last for 3-6 months and consist of several stages. At the end of each stage, participants' knowledge will be assessed through exams.
Candidates who successfully complete all stages of the program will be offered employment in hotels operating under “Tabia Group”. For participants who do not succeed in the selection stages, their documents will be stored in a reserve database and considered for future training programs.
Applications are being accepted until December 15, 2024, with the possibility of extending the deadline. Those interested in joining the program can send their CVs to [email protected], register via the QR code, or visit the BEGOC Business Center to fill out the application form.

During the meeting, the rector of AUAC, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova, and the CEO of Synergia Academy, Rena Afandiyeva, along with the academy's senior learning advisors, Ahad Kazimov and Ayten Jabrayilova, discussed several topics related to cooperation.
The discussion primarily focused on organizing soft skills trainings, establishing closer ties with the business sector by understanding industries needs and helping students to be placed in working environment. Opportunities of different dual education program for University took places at this discussion as well.
At the end of the meeting, the signed memorandum was highlighted as a step towards opening new opportunities for student development and opportunities at working places.
During the meeting, ATMU's rector, Ilham Madatov, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the representatives of Synergia Academy to the university. He provided detailed information about the history of the university, the organization of its educational system, academic programs, trends in the development of international relations, and other relevant topics.
The CEO of Synergia Academy, Rana Afandiyeva, shared information about the academy's innovative training programs designed to provide students with comprehensive professional preparation.
The meeting also included discussions on expanding internship opportunities for students and exploring collaboration in new areas of specialization.
